Las Vegas has always been more than a host city for the adult nightlife business. It is one of the places where the industry gathers to compare ideas, recognize its leaders, evaluate new technology, and see how major clubs turn entertainment into hospitality. The 2026 ED Expo brought that national conversation back to Las Vegas from August 23 through August 26 at the Rio.
A national industry event with deep roots
Established in 1993 and formerly known as the Gentlemen’s Club Expo, the ED Expo is produced by ED Publications as a business convention for club owners, general managers, operators, entertainers, DJs, bartenders, servers, and companies serving the adult nightclub industry. Organizers describe an audience of more than 1,200 industry professionals, with attendance restricted to people and businesses working in the field.
The 2026 program combined three days of training and seminars with a two day, 100 booth trade show. Educational sessions addressed the real operating questions behind the nightlife experience, including staff training, entertainer safety, marketing, legal issues, payments, insurance, technology, leadership, and customer service.
Technology, operations, and the business behind the experience
The trade show reflected how specialized the business has become. Exhibitors included ACE National, payment and financial providers such as BanQone and Platinum Solutions, club management platforms including Club Control Systems, lighting company ColorKey, beverage producer Sovereign Brands, insurance specialists, flooring suppliers, security and identification vendors, and numerous products built specifically for nightlife operators.
That mix matters because a successful gentlemen’s club is not defined by one part of the room. The complete guest experience depends on management systems, trained staff, responsible security, sound production, table service, transportation, marketing, and consistent hospitality.
Four days of Las Vegas events
The official program opened with a reception and the debut of the Exotic Dancer Archive at the Erotic Heritage Museum. The EDI Finals followed at Spearmint Rhino, sponsored by The Pony Clubs and Platinum 84 Denver. Monday brought the Maravilha and Festa Roxa celebration at the Rio, followed by the official Revenge of the Toxic Women afterparty at Las Toxicas.
Tuesday’s centerpiece was the Copa Ball and ED Honors Awards at the Penn & Teller Theater. Comedian Matt Richards hosted the show as the industry recognized leading clubs, entertainers, managers, employees, businesswomen, and innovators. The night continued with the Partypus afterparty at Drai’s before the Expo closed Wednesday with a $10,000 poolside bikini contest at the Rio.
Where Peppermint Hippo fits
Peppermint Hippo representative Danielle attended the 2026 Expo, keeping the Las Vegas club connected to the people, operating ideas, and hospitality trends shaping the national industry. Hippo also has its own history with the convention. It hosted the EDI Finals during the 2023 Expo, placing the venue directly inside one of the event’s marquee competition nights.
That national connection complements Hippo’s role in the Las Vegas market. The club combines stage entertainment with group hosting, bottle service, special event programming, and a prominent Strip location. For visitors, the practical difference is whether the night feels coordinated from arrival through the final round rather than assembled one decision at a time.
The Las Vegas gentlemen’s club scene is hospitality
Las Vegas clubs compete in the same broader environment as the city’s nightclubs, lounges, restaurants, casinos, and event venues. Guests arrive with high expectations for atmosphere, service, access, seating, transportation, and group coordination. The strongest clubs understand that entertainment may bring a guest through the door, but hospitality determines the complete experience.
The ED Expo offers an annual look at the business underneath that experience. For Las Vegas, it also reinforces why the city remains a natural meeting place for an industry built around nightlife, live entertainment, and premium group celebrations.
