Durango Casino & Resort gives southwest Las Vegas a full scale destination built for both residents and visitors. The resort combines contemporary accommodations, a large casino, a focused restaurant collection, lively bars, resort pool experiences and more than 20,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Its location is especially useful for travelers with plans in the southwest valley, Summerlin South or communities west of Interstate 15. The Strip remains accessible, but Durango works best when guests appreciate having dining, entertainment and resort amenities close together rather than commuting to Las Vegas Boulevard for every part of the trip.

Dining is one of Durango’s strongest reasons to visit

Durango was designed with restaurants as a primary attraction. Nicco’s provides a modern steakhouse experience. Mijo Modern Mexican Restaurant brings an energetic dining room and cocktail program. Summer House offers California influenced dining, while The George combines sports viewing with a more polished restaurant setting.

Eat Your Heart Out expands the range with multiple quick and casual concepts, including Prince Street Pizza, Yu Or Mi Sushi, Shang Artisan Noodle and other local and national operators. That variety is useful for groups because it allows casual arrivals, individual choices and late schedule changes without leaving the resort.

Pool, lounges and sports viewing

Bel Aire Backyard is Durango’s pool destination, with cabanas, daybeds, dining, cocktails and scheduled entertainment. Access rules, pricing, age requirements and operating hours can change by date, so visitors should verify the current terms before making the pool the center of a celebration.

Bel Aire Lounge gives the casino floor a social centerpiece with cocktails, small plates, DJs and live music. The George provides another group friendly option for games, meals and drinks. Together they allow a weekend to move from pool time to dinner and evening drinks without requiring several vehicle transfers.

A major expansion is underway

Station Casinos began the next phase of Durango’s master plan in 2026. The announced $385 million north expansion covers approximately 275,000 square feet and is expected to add an expanded casino floor with 400 additional slot machines, a 36 lane bowling facility, luxury movie theaters, additional restaurants and food hall outlets, and multiple entertainment venues.

The expansion follows the addition of more casino space, parking and a new high limit room. Construction schedules and individual concepts can change, so travelers should confirm current property conditions and openings before arrival.

Group trips and private events

Durango offers more than 20,000 square feet of meeting space and states that it can accommodate programs ranging from approximately 50 to 2,500 guests. Corporate gatherings, social events and production needs should be planned directly with the resort so room layouts, food and beverage, technical requirements and guest accommodations work as one program.

Groups should reserve high priority restaurants and pool inventory early. Arrange transportation around the full itinerary, particularly when combining Durango with the Strip, Allegiant Stadium or Downtown Las Vegas.
