The legend of the Vegas Draft Party continues to grow as 2019 was the busiest fantasy draft season yet. Las Vegas plays host to hundreds of fantasy football drafts every season, and while every league varies in the experience and type of draft atmosphere they are seeking, Sin City offers something for everyone. It makes perfect sense that Las Vegas is the preferred destination for a fantasy football draft party, with all of the excitement of the Strip and luxury resorts with premier sports venues. The popularity of season long fantasy leagues and the traditions associated with them are certainly factors in this steady increase in number of leagues making the trip to Las Vegas to host their draft, but Las Vegas has a couple special features that make it even more desirable as a draft party destination.
The Tsunami of Poolside Draft Parties
The most notable shift in Draft Party USA’s record-setting 2019 fantasy draft season was the number of fantasy leagues choosing poolside draft locations. Sapphire Pool & Dayclub has always been a popular choice among Vegas fantasy drafters, and for good reason, and this past season saw explosive growth for this venue as they became not only the most popular fantasy draft location in Las Vegas, but in all of America. Sapphire Pool & Dayclub hosted more draft parties than any other Draft Party USA location nationwide in 2019. The venue is an upscale dayclub with a high-energy atmosphere and plenty of eye candy. It is the only topless pool party in America offering fantasy draft parties. Not only is this dayclub filled with the topless entertainers of Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club but the cocktail servers and bartenders are also topless. It’s truly a sight to behold and plenty of fantasy leagues are making the journey to Las Vegas for this draft location in particular, as there is nothing else quite like it in America.
Las Vegas Sports Betting
American sports betting laws are evolving rapidly to allow more sports fans to enjoy gaming from their home states. While this transition will provide more access to sports bettors in all 50 states over time, Las Vegas is still the undisputed champion of sports betting and sports books. Until there is widespread adoption and legal methods for placing wagers across state lines, the Las Vegas sports books continue to expand their offering of VIP viewing experiences and selection of wagering options within the Las Vegas resorts and casinos. This connects directly with the appeal of Las Vegas as a fantasy draft party destination as the fantasy drafters are often sports bettors who love the opportunity to enter the big Las Vegas football handicapping contests and place their season long future bets such as total team wins or odds to win the Super Bowl during their stay in Las Vegas just prior to the season beginning. In the years ahead, sports bettors may be able to participate from their hometowns using apps such as Caesars Sports and Play MGM, but until those options are available across state lines it is only in Las Vegas where guests can register for the big contests such as the Westgate Las Vegas Super Contest and the Circa Sports Million Pro Football Contest.
What really makes the Vegas draft parties so spectacular are the drafters themselves. Each and every season fantasy leagues from all over America descend upon Las Vegas to host their live drafts with Draft Party USA and Sin City VIP and the drafters bring the energy. The traditions and league rules that these leagues come up with could only be invented by the most creative and passionate fantasy drafters. They make our job easy as the party planners and we learn new things from each of our leagues. We incorporate those intricate draft details into our packages each new season which is our recipe for success and continuous improvement in the experiences we deliver. The Draft Party USA experience is available all over America but nothing is like Las Vegas. So plan ahead and book your 2020 Las Vegas fantasy football draft party with Draft Party USA & Sin City VIP!
The NFL Playoffs are set to begin and that means the countdown is on to Super Bowl LIII. The 2018 NFL regular season included incredible performances from dominant teams and future Hall of Famers. Teams like the Saints, Chiefs and Rams tallied up big points and record setting performances while others like the Cowboys, Colts, Ravens and Eagles got hot late in the season to claim their spot in the NFL Playoffs. Getting there, however, is only the latest step in the ultimate goal of winning a Super Bowl trophy and there is no doubt that the best football of the season is yet to come.
In Las Vegas, the Super Bowl is an annual, city-wide event like none other. Super Bowl weekend in Las Vegas is a favorite choice for sports fans, socialites and high rollers alike. Each and every resort on the World famous Las Vegas Strip will be sold out and full of energy all weekend long leading up to Sunday, February 3rd. The betting menu will include countless propositions and entertaining wager opportunities while the big game itself will take in millions of dollars in straight bets on the winning side, total and money line. The question remains, which two teams will take the big stage on Super Bowl Sunday and this year’s playoff field features 12 teams that any one of which would present a great story line and an inspired performance.
2019 NFL Playoffs – Complete Bracket and Schedule:
The Big Dogs
The New Orleans Saints and the Kansas City Chiefs are the top teams in their conferences, each with an explosive offense led by an MVP candidate at quarterback. Drew Brees had an amazing season leading the Saints to a 13-2 record before sitting out the final week of the regular season with home field advantage in the NFC already secured. In the AFC it was all about Patrick Mahomes and his league high 48 touchdown passes (the next closest QB was Andrew Luck with 36). The Chiefs led the NFL in scoring with 35.3 points per game, finishing with a 12-4 record. They did face some adversity however, as their play-making running back, Kareem Hunt, was released by the team in early December after video surfaced of him assaulting a woman from months earlier. The Chiefs four losses all came to playoff teams, including two of the most memorable games of the season; a 54-51 loss to the Rams and a 38-31 loss to the Seahawks. The Los Angeles Rams actually finished with a better record than the Chiefs, but the Rams at 13-3 missed out on home field advantage in the NFC throughout the playoffs due to a head to head tiebreaker against the Saints, who also finished at 13-3 but defeated the Rams by a score of 45-35 in another classic game brought to us in this 2018 regular season. The Rams have a high octane offense led by quarterback Jared Goff and running back Todd Gurley, and although they often found themselves in high scoring shootouts, the Rams defense is stacked with top talent and coached by Wade Phillips, the defensive coordinator behind the Denver Broncos upset Super Bowl win in Super Bowl 50.
It’s difficult to call any of these remaining teams underdogs as they are truly the best of the best, but not every team coasted along to double digit wins. So many times we’ve seen in the past that the teams who are hottest heading in to the playoffs can be the most dangerous teams in the field. There were a few teams who stumbled out of the starting blocks this season but got their act together at just the right time to keep the dream alive, including the Texans, Chargers, Seahawks, Cowboys, Ravens and Eagles. The Philadelphia Eagles are the defending Super Bowl Champions so it’s only right that they found the magic that they finished last season with, with quarterback Nick Foles stepping in to lead them to glory once again. The Houston Texans started the season with 3 straight losses but turned it around to finish with a record of 11-5. The Baltimore Ravens quietly had the league’s top rated defense but the real story behind the Ravens’ playoff run is the play of rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson. The former Heisman winner brought his electric style of play to the NFL and took the league by storm, stepping in half way through the season and leading the Ravens to win 6 of their last 7 games to claim the division title in the AFC North. The Dallas Cowboys are rock solid on defense and versatile on offense, with Ezekiel Elliot carrying the load at running back and their new playmaker, mid-season acquisition Amari Cooper at wide receiver.
Odds to Win Super Bowl LIII (as of 12/31/18)
- New Orleans Saints: 2 to 1
- Kansas City Chiefs: 4 to 1
- Los Angeles Rams: 5 to 1
- New England Patriots: 5 to 1
- Chicago Bears: 9 to 1
- Los Angeles Chargers: 16 to 1
- Baltimore Ravens: 20 to 1
- Houston Texans: 20 to 1
- Dallas Cowboys: 25 to 1
- Seattle Seahawks: 25 to 1
- Indianapolis Colts: 30 to 1
- Philadelphia Eagles: 30 to 1
With each round of the NFL Playoffs the anticipation in Las Vegas builds higher. Some experts in Las Vegas tourism suggest that a Super Bowl matchup between a Texas team and a California team would generate the biggest turnout in the history of Super Bowl weekends in Las Vegas, and between the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Rams, there are certainly opportunities for at least one if not both conferences to be represented by those states. The Vegas Super Bowl, however, is an event for fans and travelers from all over and there are many who would love to see the return of the Eagles, Tom Brady or even the Chicago Bears make an appearance. There are many possibilities for another blockbuster Super Bowl matchup but one thing is guaranteed; Las Vegas will play host to the most Super bowl fans in America on February 3rd with plenty of premium viewing parties to enjoy the big game.

This year’s National Draft Day in Las Vegas took place on Saturday, August 25th and Las Vegas played host to many leagues of fantasy drafters. Draft Party USA’s featured event was the VIP Draft at TopGolf Las Vegas. True fantasy draft aficionados enjoyed a premium drafting experience in a private event room with a festive atmosphere. The event featured a gourmet buffet, call brand open bar and Vegas style entertainment. National Draft Day was emceed by The Schmo, Draft Party USA’s digital media sports correspondent, known for delivering weird and funny sports, one interview at a time. Broadcasting live was Eat.Sleep.Fantasy. – Top Fantasy Football Podcast currently available on iTunes. Model hostesses from the UNLV Cheer squad were in full uniform as dedicated draft board attendants, actually placing the individual player stickers on the draft boards for each league throughout the event. During the pre-draft reception, drafters were treated to buckets of beer while some of the leagues pre-labeled their draft boards with keepers or auction info. The drafters were treated to strolling magic from an original Las Vegas lounge magician and some whacked a few golf balls getting pumped for the draft to begin; one of the leagues even selected their draft order with a longest drive competition. The real competition heated up when the drafting began, but the open bar and party atmosphere made this National Draft Day an event to remember.
The first Sin City VIP fantasy football draft party was held in 2012 in the Aria Race & Sports Book as impromptu event for a group of high-end casino players. Unfortunately, our VIP draft party drew the attention and concern of casino gaming regulators, making it the last fantasy football draft to be held inside a sports book on the Vegas Strip. Since that time we have featured many locations including the finest sports bars, private rooms, pool parties, gentlemen’s clubs and hotel suites on the Las Vegas Strip. With each passing fantasy draft season the bar is raised, as drafters from all over America plan their destination draft party in Las Vegas with expectations of luxury draft amenities and Vegas style entertainment. To keep pace with these rising expectations, Sin City VIP launched a sports entertainment marketing brand in 2014, Draft Party USA, specializing in fantasy draft parties and VIP sports experience packages.
Early on, Draft Party USA identified the most popular draft date of the season was the Saturday before Labor Day Weekend. This is the sweet spot for fantasy football drafters as it coincides with Week 3 of the NFL Preseason, a point where most personnel decisions have already been determined and early injuries from training camp are no longer a high risk for starters. This is also a great weekend to travel to Vegas for the lower rates on flights, hotel and entertainment as compared to the following weekend with holiday rates and larger crowds around the Vegas Strip. So became National Draft Day by Draft Party USA, the Saturday before Labor Day Weekend and the consensus best day to host a fantasy draft party in Las Vegas.
Topgolf Las Vegas is a state-of-the-art sports entertainment complex and the perfect place for the fantasy football draft party event of the season! This was It was an absolute pleasure to host these VIP drafters who traveled to Las Vegas to host their annual special event, the great new American sports tradition, the live, fantasy football draft party!

When Las Vegas got its first major professional sports franchise—the Vegas Golden Knights NFL hockey team—it brought more than just hockey to Sin City. Fitting for the entertainment capital of the world, the team has a pregame show like no other.
In its first season, the 2017-2018 hockey season, the Vegas Golden Knights showed Las Vegas they were more than just a hockey team—they are entertainment gold. What more would you expect than an intro with Vegas show-quality production.
The T-Mobile Arena goes dark, and the cheering starts—fans know that what is coming next is truly spectacular. A voice fills the stadium, telling the tale of the season in the style of a fairytale narrator telling the tale of King Arthur, fitting for a team called the Golden Knights. A light show on the ice creates a visual spectacle to illustrate the story being told. A skater enters the ring, waving a banner fitting of a Medieval sporting event, and the Golden Knight takes the ice, brandishing his sword and shield. The two battle, and, fittingly, the Knight overpowers the other skater. Smoke fills the ring, and drummers begin to ominously beat their instruments, building to a crescendo as the fans cheer them on. Finally, the Knights take the ice to a rapt audience.
If that weren’t enough, it seems like they’re stepping up the entertainment value with every game. The vibe at the games is electric—everyone gets into it, and things get loud as fans cheer for the entertainers and the team.
The team has had one of the strongest debut seasons in the history of American professional sports, breaking the record for the most wins by an expansion team on February 1, 2018, when they won 3-2 against the Winnipeg Jets, their 34th win of the season. On March 31, the Golden Knights became the first of the modern-era expansion teams in any of the four major professional sports to win their division in the first season. Such a feat has not been accomplished in the NHL since the New York Rangers won their division in their first season, the 1926-1927 season.
There has been no better way for a new franchise to begin its tradition than with a hugely successful inaugural season, both in terms of winning and fan support. For the playoffs in Las Vegas, the Knights fans will take over the stadium, and the show will, undoubtedly, be over-the-top.
Vegas will be getting another professional sports team in the 2020 NFL season, when the Oakland Raiders move from their long-time home in California to Sin City. With the success of the Knights, the Las Vegas Raiders will have a lot to live up to. The Las Vegas Raiders have begun construction on a $1.8 billion, 62-acre stadium they will call home in 2020. As more professional sports teams begin to call Las Vegas home, the city is proving that it is more than just gambling, casinos, concerts, shows, and nightclubs.
