XS Is Back and Vegas Is Looking Up

XS Nightclub has reopened at Encore with a moving ceiling, a new gold room and a weekend of familiar headliners. Here is what comes next.

Vegas has never had much patience for a quiet entrance. XS has returned with a ceiling that moves, a room dressed in gold and a reopening weekend that knows exactly how to make an introduction. The Encore nightclub reopened November 5, 2026, with RÜFÜS DU SOL performing a DJ set. After months away, one of the Strip’s familiar names has given people a new reason to look up.

The ceiling wants your attention

The new XS leans into the pleasure of excess. Brass, bronze and chrome are part of the palette, while sculptural gold structures frame an installation of 1,200 kinetic pendants. Wynn’s reveal describes a room designed to change character as the production moves through it. The lighting is not just hanging above the party. It is part of the architecture.

That is a useful distinction in a city where a bigger screen can pass for a reinvention. The published photographs show curved seating, reflected light and a main room that seems built to pull the eye in several directions at once. The DJ booth carries the same visual language, with audio components incorporated into its structure. The artist remains the draw, but the setting has a job to do too.

An Encore original gets another chapter

XS debuted in December 2008. In nightlife years, that is enough time for a room to become part of several generations of Vegas stories. Friends have chosen it for birthdays, visitors have planned entire weekends around its DJs, and plenty of people have left with a later bedtime than they intended.

There is a Sin City VIP connection as well. Our own history includes working with XS during its original opening weekend at Encore. That makes this return more interesting than another new name on the Strip. It is a familiar landmark taking another swing at what a big Vegas night can look like.

A redesign has to do two things at once: make regulars curious and give first timers a clear reason to care. The new room gives XS fresh visual identity, while the opening lineup brings back artists with established ties to the venue. That combination makes sense. A nightclub is a place people return to, but nobody comes back hoping the night will feel routine.

Four nights to make the introduction

The reopening celebration runs November 5 through 8. RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Thursday appearance was billed as a DJ set, followed by The Chainsmokers on Friday, Calvin Harris on Saturday and Diplo B2B HUGEL on Sunday. It is a full weekend of headline bookings, with different reasons to pick each night.

The calendar keeps moving after the first weekend. Kaskade plays November 13, and Marshmello follows November 14. Those dates give visitors a little more room to put a trip together and experience the redesigned club after the initial reveal. Choose the artist you actually want to hear, then build the night around that booking.

The room gets the reveal and the people make the night

New lighting gives a venue something to show off. Hospitality gives people a reason to remember it. Hosts, servers, bartenders, security and production teams are the people turning a spectacular room into a working night out. Their contribution is less easily captured in a ceiling photograph, but it matters when a group arrives, a reservation needs attention or the crowd is ready for the next moment.

That is the part of Vegas worth keeping in the story. The best nights involve more than an impressive invoice and a good camera angle. They involve music you wanted to hear, people you wanted to be with and a room that feels alive around you. A remodel creates the setting. The people have to bring the rest.

Make a night of it

Start with the updated XS guide, then check the official listing for your date. Decide whether you want admission or a reserved table, understand the full cost and leave yourself time to get through Encore. Have dinner first and resist the temptation to pack the evening with reservations on opposite ends of the Strip.

XS has returned with plenty to look at. Pick your night, bring your people and remember that the ceiling is only the beginning.
