Cowboy Christmas brings Western shopping and rodeo week energy to the Las Vegas Convention Center December 3 through 12, 2026. Admission is free, and the show is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The daytime side of NFR week
Cowboy Christmas is the official gift show of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. It has been part of the Las Vegas calendar since 1986, giving fans a daytime gathering place before the evening competition. You can visit without holding a ticket to the rodeo.
The 2026 event takes place in the South Halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center, at 3150 Paradise Road. Tell your driver the hall destination as well as the convention center name. The campus is large enough that the wrong entrance can add an unnecessary walk.
What you will find
The organizer lists more than 375 exhibitors across over 500,000 square feet. Western clothing, boots, jewelry, art, furniture and home goods are part of the mix. Go with a few priorities if you are shopping for something specific, then give yourself room to wander.
This is a useful stop for mixed groups because everyone can browse at their own pace. Agree on a meeting point and time before splitting up. Comfortable shoes and a plan for carrying purchases make the afternoon easier.
More than a shopping trip
The official program includes the Ariat Rodeo Live Stage, Cowboy Christmas Village and other interactive areas. Check the organizer’s feature pages for the current entertainment schedule. The YETI Junior NFR also has its own competition location and program, so review those details separately if it is part of your visit.
Families can plan around the daytime attractions, while shoppers can use the entertainment schedule to choose a break. A free admission event can still occupy several hours, so avoid treating it as a quick errand between other reservations.
Shopping before the rodeo
The evening NFR performances at Thomas & Mack begin at 5:45 p.m. Leave time between the convention center and the arena for travel, food and entry. They are separate venues, and closing time at Cowboy Christmas is not a useful departure target if you want an unhurried rodeo evening.
On a night without arena tickets, consider Gilley’s for country music and its announced NFR viewing parties. X Country is an adults only show option for another part of the trip. For the story tying this Western season together, see our country feature.
