Your Vegas Connection

Skydive Las Vegas takes the trip beyond the Strip for a tandem jump over the Nevada desert. Based at Boulder City Airport, the experience pairs first time jumpers with a professional tandem instructor and opens broad views across Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, the Colorado River, desert mountains, and the distant Las Vegas skyline when conditions allow.

The jump is only one part of the outing. Registration, briefing, equipment, aircraft loading, the climb to altitude, freefall, the parachute flight, landing, and media all shape the day. Plan it as a half day activity and keep the schedule flexible.

What a tandem skydive feels like

After training and equipment checks, the participant is secured to an instructor for the aircraft ascent and exit. Freefall delivers the most intense part of the experience, followed by a slower canopy flight that reveals the scale of the desert below.

No previous skydiving experience is required for a standard tandem jump. The instructor manages the technical procedures, while the guest follows the briefing, body position, and landing instructions.

The Boulder City setting

The drop zone places the jump near some of Southern Nevada’s most recognizable landscapes. Visibility changes with weather and atmospheric conditions, but the aircraft ride and canopy descent can reveal Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, the Colorado River corridor, Boulder City, Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire, Mount Charleston, and the Las Vegas Strip.

Friends and family who are not jumping may be able to watch from the facility and landing area. Confirm spectator policies before bringing a larger group.

Photos and video

A skydive is an unusually visual experience, and media packages are worth considering before arrival. Options can differ by package, including instructor mounted footage, still images, or a dedicated camera flyer. Confirm what is recorded, how the files are delivered, and whether the media choice must be reserved in advance.

Transportation and timing

A complimentary Strip shuttle is available with a confirmed reservation from the operator’s designated pickup point. Confirm the exact location and departure time, and arrive early because the shuttle cannot operate like a private transfer.

Driving can offer more control over departure time, particularly for groups whose members jump in different aircraft loads. Either way, leave the rest of the day open. Wind, clouds, aircraft sequencing, and safety decisions can extend the timeline or require rescheduling.

Prepare for the jump

Participants must meet the current age, identification, weight, health, clothing, and footwear requirements. Wear secure athletic shoes and comfortable clothing, eat a light meal, hydrate, and avoid alcohol before the experience.

Book early in the trip when possible. That creates room to reschedule if weather interrupts operations. Read the final confirmation carefully and contact the operator before arrival if you have questions about medical conditions, mobility, weight limits, or any other participation requirement.
